This is happening now, how sad for me to see these pictures...
October 23, 1956A date that is etched in my mind forever. Like a birthday or an anniversary or President Kennedy's assasination, for me this date and a few following dates will be remembered in my life forever.
I was going to go to Budapest this year but somehow something held me back. I cry each time I see those pictures of the revolution, I cry each time for my parents. I cry for the pain they must have endured. Life was so very hard for them.
It was 50 Years ago: October 23, 1956....
